Global AffairsThe Directorate of Global Affairs has responsibility for developing and promoting the Empire's position with regard to foreign policy, and to maintaining relationships with foreign governments.
External relations:
As a member of the international community, the Empire of Atlantium welcomes diplomatic and co-operative activity with other sovereign states. The present Imperial Administration's policy unilaterally extends recognition to United Nations member states, or states with Observer status at the United Nations, as well as to a limited number of aspirant peoples and states. It should be noted that formal contacts with state-like entities falling outside these criteria cannot be entertained under this policy.
Extension of formal recognition is determined by the Minister of State on the advice of the Directorate of External Affairs on a case by case basis.
Diplomatic activity:
As part of an process of active international engagement the Empire of Atlantium has established a network of diplomatic representatives around the world. Imperial Legations now represent the Empire's interests in a number of key sub-continental regions.
